Customer Service Representative

Summary:
All tasks and activities related to taking care of customer orders, questions, returns, and needs. Also, this person will assist in troubleshooting platforms that Classical Conversations uses on a regular basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • 1 year of previous customer service experience preferred
  • Must be within commuting distance of Southern Pines, NC
  • Must be able to interact with customers and other staff in a pleasant and professional manner in written and oral communications
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be able to type and review data on a computer screen
  • Classical Conversations program and leadership experience helpful

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Attentive to details, positive language use, and good people skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Able to work well with team members
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills
  • Easily use message and phone systems for customer management
  • Experience in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft applications
  • Work within project deadlines, complete tasks in a timely manner, assist in keeping the team on track as a department.
  • Ability to acquire knowledge of Classical Conversations programs and products along with the ability to communicate that information through effective oral and written communications
  • Ability to maintain patience, composure, and tact with upset customers
  • Ability to effectively listen and gather all information necessary to resolve customer returns
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize all necessary computer programs to accomplish daily tasks

Essential Functions:

  • Review and process customer product returns and refunds
  • Answer customer phone calls and cases related to product returns
  • Record information on spreadsheets and sending email messages to customers
  • Communicate and model the Classical Conversations Core Values – Grace, Humility, Integrity, Diligence, and Excellence
  • Enter customer sales orders
  • Answer customer phone calls and tickets related to questions about order status, programs, products, and technical issues related to CC platforms.
  • Provide well-crafted, timely responses to customer needs by phone or email, provide customer satisfaction for customer experience with Classical Conversations.
  • Continued Learning: Completes training in slower seasons to improve Customer Service skills, understanding of Classical Conversations core values, community and leadership, and general system processes and procedures.
  • Communicate and model the Classical Conversations Core Values – Grace, Humility, Integrity, Diligence, and Excellence
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

Color vision, reading, speaking, kneeling, reaching, feeling, field of vision, balancing, crouching, and handling. Must be able to hear clearly in person and over the telephone. Must be able to speak clearly in person and over telephone.
