The Human Resources Assistant manages the onboarding and offboarding of all employees, Area Representatives, Support Representatives, and Product Sales Specialists.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of HR experience (hiring experience preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manual, and written directions
  • Ability to communicate clearly with others
  • Must be able to write with professionalism
  • Must be highly organized, accurate, and able to monitor work for quality
  • Must be dependable, follow instructions, and able to improve performance through feedback
  • Good interpersonal skills and a good listener

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of hiring processes, forms, and contracts
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook software programs
  • Ability to learn and work with different technology systems (Employee Management, File Storage)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Detail oriented and organized. Able to manage multiple tasks and interactions easily
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good conflict resolution skills
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Essential Functions:

  • Process the onboarding, change, and offboarding paperwork for all employees.
  • Conduct employee orientations
  • Process the onboarding, change, and termination paperwork for all Area Representatives, Support Representatives, and Product Sales Specialists (AR/SR/PSS)
  • Manage spreadsheets for tracking onboarding, changes, and offboarding
  • Occasionally assist with recruiting of employees (reference checks, interviews)
  • Administer the issuing and return of employee badges
  • Create, update, and deactivate CBIZ accounts (AR/SR/PSS)
  • Create, update, and end CC email accounts (AR/SR/PSS)
  • Send welcome email and instructions on how to log into CBIZ the first time (AR/SR/PSS)
  • Ensure employee and contractor data is entered accurately and in a timely manner
  • Pick up company/department meals as needed
  • Notify proper personnel of any issues
  • Ensure clear and timely communication with payroll/accounting
  • Create and update SOPs when necessary

  • Perform other duties as assigned
